Karan Johar informally known as KJO.He was born on May 25,1972,Mumbai,India.
He is the son of film producer Yash Johar and Hiroo Johar.
He was completed his graduation in H.R College,Mumbai and received a master degree in french.
He is a good friend of actor Shah rukh Khan.

Karan is the owner of Dharma Production.He was entered in acting field with the film Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge played the role of lead hero's friends.He was also assistance director on the same film.
Karan made his directorial debut at the age 25 with the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998.He was also the story writer and screenplay director of the film.

He got IIFA award in best costume designer section for Mohabbatein ,IIFA award in best dialogue section for Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham,IIFA best story award for Kal Ho Na Ho and IIFA best director award for My Name Is Khan.
