This chain is started with Prithviraj Kapoor.
Prithviraj Kapoor
Prithviraj Kapoor was a pioneer of indian theater and of the hindi film industry.Who started his career in the silent ere of indian cinema.
He was also the patriarch of the Kapoor family of hindi films.
He was born on 3rd november 1901 samudri near the town of lyallpur,punjab currently in pakistan .His ancestor were jamidar of samudri.
He received his early education at Khalsa college,lyllapur and at lahore.
He completed his higher education at Edwardes college ,peshawar,pakistan and joined a two year programme of law.
In 1928 he moved to mumbai and he acted as an extra in his first film and get a lead role in the third film Cinema Girl(1929).
prithvi ji did supporting role in film Alam Ara(1931),he acted in Vidyapati(1937) and his acting is much appreciated by audience.
His best performance is as Alexander-the gret in Sikandar(1941).
Some of his best films are Mughal-e -azam(1960),Harishchandra Taramati(1963),Sikandar e azam(1965),Kal aaj aur kal(1971).
He did a punjabi religious film Nanak nam jagah hai(1969) and punjabi film Nanak dukhiya sab sansar(1970),Mele mittran de(1972).
He also acted in kannad movies Sakshatkara(1971).
He honored with padma bhusan in year 1969 by india goverment,in 1972 after his death he was awarded with dada sahab falke award for the year 1971.
He died on 29th may 1972.
As discendants he greatly contributed to indian cinema by giving three talented sons

Raj kapoor eldest son of prithviraj kapoor ,his full name is Ranbirraj kapoor.
He born on 14th december 1924 in peshawar.
He is well known as show man.
He was an actor,director, producer of hindi cinema.
He married to Ramsarni devi kapoor.
In the year 1935 he started his film carrier with Inquilab.After acting in many films his next big break come withlead role in picture Neel Kamal(1947).
In 1948 he established his own studio R.K Films and become the youngest director of his time making his directorial debut with the film Aag starring himself.in 1949 he starred in blockbuste hie andaz.
He went to produce direct or star in many films like Barsaat(1949),Awara(1951),Shree 420(1955),Chori Chori(1959),Jagte Raho(1959),Jis Desh Main Ganga Behti Hai(1960).
Out side his banner his starred film are Chhalia(1960),Teesri Kasam(1966),Anari()1959.
Sangam(1964) was his first film in colour with Rajendra kumar and vyajantimala.
In 1970 he starred in film Mera Naam Jokar.It is a box office disaster.In this film his son Rishi Kapoor made his debut by playing younger version oh him.

The Goverment of india honored him with Padma Bhusan award in the year 1971 and Dada sahab falke award in the year 1987 for his contribution towards indian cinema.
Shammi Kapoor
Shammi Kapoor middle son of Prithviraj Kapoor and younger brother of Raj Kapoor.
His full name is Shamsher Raj Prithviraj Kapoor.
He born on 21st october 1931 in peshawar,pakisthan.
He was an Indian film actor and director.
People also known him as Elvis presley of India.
He made his debut in film industry with film Jeevam Jyoti in the year 1953.
He started his career with serious roles but after acted in film like Tumsa Nahin Dekha(1957) and Dil Deke dekho(1959) he create a image of light hearted and stylish playboy.
He starred in many hits film like Junglee(1961),Rail Ka dibba and Naqab with madhubala,Laila Majnu with Nutan,Thokar with Shayama and Ham Sab Chor Hain with Nalini Jaywant.
Sharmila Tagore and Asha Parikh made her debut with Shammi Kapoor in film Kashmir ki kali and Junglee.
His successful films are College Girl,Basant Singapore,Boy Friend,Professor,Dil Tera Deewana,Vallah Kya Baat Hai,Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya,China Town,Kashmir Ki Kali,Bluffmaster,Janwar and Rajkumar.

Sashi Kapoor
Sashi Kapoor youngest son of Prithviraj kapoor and youngest brother of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor.
He born on 18th march 1938 in calcutta,west bengal,India.
His full name is Balbir Raj Prithviraj Kapoor.
He has appeared as actor in many hindi films and few english films.
He is also a director and producer of hindi films.
Sashi Kapoor started his film career as a child artist in mthological films and commercial films like Meena(1944),Tadbir,Bachpan(1945).
His best performance as a child artist is in film Aag and Awara where he played younger version of his brother Raj Kapoor.He acted 1n 19 films as a child artist during 1944 to 1954.
He got an oppertunity to work as an assitant director in debut film of Sunil Dutt Postbox999 and Guest House.
He made his debut as a leading role in Dharmputra(1961) and with this appear in 116 films as lead role including 63 film as solo,53 as multi cast ,22 as supporting actor and 5 as special appearence.

He started his carrier with film Kal Aaj Aur Kal in 1971.After his debut he scored two successful film Jawani Deewani(1972) and another one was Rampur Ka Lakshman.

Rishi Kapoor debuted in his fathers film Mera Naam Jokar(1970) playing his father's role as a child.

His career is not successful as his brother and acted in only 13 films.
His last film appearence in Zimmedaar which released on 1990.
After this he turned to film directing and producing.
